About the Lodge
A Living History
Grandview Lodge No. 266 was chartered in the spring of 1867, just two years after the close of the Civil War. Our founders—men of diverse trades and convictions—gathered with a singular purpose: to build a fraternity grounded in moral instruction, mutual aid, and the relentless pursuit of light.
For over 150 years, we have met in stated communication on the first Tuesday of each month. Through depressions and world wars, through decades of growth and change, the Lodge has remained an anchor of stability and brotherhood in our community.
Today, Grandview Lodge counts among its members physicians, teachers, veterans, tradesmen, and civic leaders—united not by profession but by a shared desire to become better men and better citizens.

What is Freemasonry?
Freemasonry is the world's oldest and largest fraternity. It is not a religion, nor a substitute for one. It is a system of morality, veiled in allegory and illustrated by symbols, that uses the tools of the stonemason's trade as metaphors for shaping one's character.
A Mason is taught to meet upon the level, act by the plumb, and part upon the square. These are not mere platitudes—they are guidelines for a life of integrity, fairness, and brotherhood.
